Tesla Keeps It Real in Reno

The Grand Sierra Resort Theater in Reno, Nevada, was packed to the brim as Tesla rolled through town on their Keeping It Real 2025 tour, delivering a performance that was nothing short of legendary. For longtime fans, it was a trip down memory lane—a reminder of the anthems that defined their youth.

The band kicked things off with "Rock Me to the Top," setting the tone for a high-energy, nostalgia-fueled night. As they worked their way through their 17-song setlist, the crowd erupted for the classics: "Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out)," "What You Give," "Love Song," "Little Suzy," and of course, closing out the night with the timeless "Signs." Each song was met with enthusiastic singalongs, proving that Tesla's music remains just as powerful today as it was decades ago.

Frank Hannon’s guitar work was nothing short of remarkable—his solos soaring effortlessly through the venue, reminding everyone why he remains one of the best in the game. Meanwhile, the band’s frontman was fully engaged, interacting with the crowd, sharing stories, and making sure everyone felt like part of the Tesla family. And let’s talk about his voice—after all these years, it still holds up, delivering every lyric with the same passion and grit that made Tesla a household name.

If there was one downside to the experience, it was my vantage point. Shooting from a back-corner seat—the furthest possible spot for a photographer—made capturing the energy of the night a challenge. The shots? Mediocre at best given the positioning, but the atmosphere more than made up for it.

As the tour continues, fans have even more to look forward to—Frank Hannon’s new album Reflections is on the horizon, with its second single, A Hundred Miles, freshly released. If this night was any indication, the future of Tesla and its members is still shining bright.
