The Australian grindcore band, King Parrot, descended upon San Francisco last Sunday, leaving a trail of chaos and exhilaration in their wake. The intimate venue was full of die-hard fans eagerly awaiting the band's explosive performance, and King Parrot did not disappoint.

 

As the lights dimmed, the crowd erupted into a frenzy, the band took the stage with an unapologetic energy that instantly electrified the room. From the very first note, it was clear that King Parrot was here to deliver a relentless onslaught of pure, unadulterated metal.

 

Frontman Matt Young took the stage with his menacing gaze, captivating the audience.

 While the band's musicianship was nothing short of exceptional. Guitarists Squizzy and Ari White unleashed a barrage of blistering riffs, while bassist Slatts Everyday and drummer Todd Hansen provided a thunderous rhythm section that shook the venue to its core. The chemistry between the band members was amazing, as they seamlessly transitioned from one bone-crushing track to another.

 

King Parrot's setlist was a perfect blend of old and newer songs. The crowd went into a frenzy during fan-favorites like "Bozo" and "Shit on the liver" The band's energy was infectious, and it was impossible not to get caught up in the chaos.

 

One of the standout moments of the night was when Youngy let a lucky fan help sing "Bite your head off." The fan, clearly in awe, grabbed the microphone and screamed his heart out.
